The Most Expensive Casino in the World

The global casino market has been increasingly competitive, with casino operators spending billions of dollars to create some of the most extravagant and expensive casino resorts around the world. The most expensive casino in the world and one of the most expensive buildings in the world is Marina Bay Sands in Singapore which is quickly becoming the country’s most iconic and recognisable structure, thanks to its impressive design.

Marina Bay Sands

Opened in February 2011, Marina Bay Sands is just one of two casinos in Singapore that are open to locals and foreigners. Owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corp. it is said to have cost the company around USD5.7 billion to create and construct the unique design of three towers connected by a massive rooftop infinity pool which makes Marina Bay Sands stand out.

The resort covers more than 40 acres on the prime real estate of Marina Bay.  Whilst top online casinos are recording record growth that is set to continue until at least 2027, the 160,000 square feet of casino floor across four levels and including more than 700 table games, 2,500 slot machines and 13 different table game variants is a huge enticement to those who enjoy the fun and entertainment of land-based casinos. The resort can accommodate thousands among more than 2,500 hotel rooms, 50 restaurants and more than 800,000 square feet of some of the world’s best retailers.
