What Should You Never Forget When Going On a Trip?

views

There are some things you just can’t live without. The things where if you don’t have them, it could put a real dent in your travel experience, or possibly end your trip altogether. These are the things that you should be most careful about bringing with you.

It’s like how if you are going to go play poker with your friends, there are things you could forget that would simply make it not as fun as it could have been. Other things could end the game entirely like forgetting the cards, something you wouldn’t have to worry about on an online casino like SlotoCash Casino.

Now, not everyone may really think much about what they pack, and what is most important. Or perhaps there are things you never pack that the chips have just fallen so that you never needed them. However, if you did need them, you would be up the creek without a paddle.

So, here are some rather important things that I think everyone should take with them when they go on any sort of trip. It could be simply a hike in the local park, or a trip to a whole other country, there are certain things that are universal.

First Aid Kit

I want to put a first aid kit as the first thing on this list. There are several reasons for this, but I feel for most people this will become self evident if it is not already. People get hurt, you wanna be able to take care of it.

There are always going to be times when your kid falls down in the playground and scrapes their knee, or maybe you get a splinter in your finger while hiking. Perhaps something, please forbid, even worse happens, and you seriously need some first aid.

This is where having a kit handy with you can be, quite literally, a life saver. Sterile bandages, rubbing alcohol, tourniquets, gauze, tweezers, tape, and that’s just the beginning. But having these things handy could seriously mean the difference between life and death.

Now, I don’t wanna be too dramatic, and I can tell some of you might be rolling your eyes at me. “It’s just a trip to the park!” But having some basic supplies ready is still important if you or your kid gets a bump, scrape, or bang and needs a bandage or something.

You don’t wanna have to carry or drive your kid all the way home because he has a scraped leg that’s bleeding and for some strange reason wouldn’t like to continue playing until it gets dealt with.

What’s important is to think about where you are going, and pack necessities and other specialty items you might need. If you are going on a hike to the local park, know what’s in the area. Figure out the most common injuries and pack according to them.

But, you should also think about things that might occur especially where you are going. For instance, if you plan to go on a trip to the rainforest, it might be worthwhile to bring some creams for bug bites, stings, or whatever other angry stinging plants they might have there…

Be smart about it. It is always to better to pack a bit more medical supplies than you need and not need them, than less than you need and end up needing them. And don’t be embarrassed by it, being prepared is always a good thing.

Water Bottle

Bringing a water bottle with you everywhere you go is a habit that could seriously change your life. I would argue that most people suffer from the problem of not drinking enough water, and having a bottle with you could remedy this.

Some of you might think that water is so readily available now that what do you need a bottle for? But there are always going to be situations where you can’t get water immediately, and you might not know how long you will have to go without.

Imagine you are driving to work and you end up getting stuck in traffic. You can’t go anywhere. You can’t get out. You are simply stuck. Something tells you at least once in your life you have been stuck in traffic somewhere for hours.

In a case like this, especially if it is the hot summer, not having water with you can be at the least very uncomfortable, and the most dangerous. Dehydration can cause headaches and pains. Along with the discomfort of being thirsty.

There are a whole host of problems that come with dehydration other than your eventual, and unfortunate, passing away if you go too long. This is why carrying around a water bottle with you is a great thing, and a great way to stay hydrated.

And, thanks to modern technology, you don’t have to worry about the water being too warm (or too cold I guess?)! You can get a vacuum insulated water bottle, and have icey cool water left in your bottle by the end of the day even on a sweltering day.

So, bring a water bottle everywhere you go, drink more water, and stay hydrated. It will improve your life, and I guarantee if you aren’t drinking enough now, you will feel better if you always have what to drink with you.

Tissues

One final thing that I think every single human on planet earth should always carry with them wherever they go is tissues. Oh, man. Tissues are such a simple thing. Like toilet paper for your face. So useful in so many ways.

I couldn’t even begin to count how many times I’ve needed tissues when I was out and was so thankful I brought them. Even more so,  how much I regretted the times that I didn’t have them with me…

From times where I had a runny nose, to simply needing to wipe my mouth, to running into someone with a bad bloody nose, tissues are honestly one of the most used things I carry with me on a daily basis.

Still don’t believe in the power of tissues? Well, they can also be both a plate and a utensil at the same time! Have dirty hands and can’t wash them? Use some tissues to grab your food! Then you can use your plate (the tissues) to wipe your mouth and throw it all away! No fuss.

I don’t feel the need to explain more about how great it is to bring tissues around with you, as I feel everyone knows the person who brings the tissues eventually ends up as someone’s hero.
